FARMette 2024 · Bloomington
Community, music, and learning
The weather was perfect, the music was amazing, Tim Grimm's keynote had people crying happy tears and feeling proud to be Hoosiers, and the WFHB coffee break was delicious.
The inaugural FARMette was a landmark day for musicians and music industry professionals in Indiana. Held in Bloomington, it filled to usable capacity and brought together artists, industry partners, and enthusiasts for a day of networking, learning, and showcasing.
Panels
Panels featured label executives, international music industry experts, and Indiana venue, radio, and festival legends. Attendees left better informed about their rights and income streams, and about working with venues and promoters for successful shows.
Panelists included Bob McCutcheon (Brown County Playhouse), Steve Versaw (Buskirk Chumley Theater), Dee Annis (MOKB Presents and HI FI Indy), Carolyn VandeWiele (WFHB), Phil Slates (Indy Folk Series), Robert Meitus (entertainment attorney), Darryl Hurs (DIT, Toronto), and Kathleen Cook (Secretly Group).
